Look and move like a dancer!

Good posture

Proper body alignment and posture are essential to dancers as it makes them appear more elegant and confident. This prevents the spine from becoming fixed in abnormal positions and lessens fatigue because muscles are being used more efficiently, allowing the body to use less energy.

Lack of movement

However, most of us fall into the sedentary lifestyle sitting most of the day in a fixed position working at the computer or driving from place to place fixed in the same position. The hands are forward and without proper ergonomics can draw the shoulders forward leading to a slouched position.

Muscle imbalance

This causes the muscles of the chest, the pectoralis major and minor, to become short and tight and the muscles in the back, the rhomboids, middle and lower trapezius muscles, to become long and weak. This imbalance triggers muscle fatigue and spasms across the middle back and neck as those muscles are working overtime to maintain proper alignment.

Stretch and strengthen

To readjust the body the muscles in the front need to be released and stretched and the muscles in the back need to be released and strengthened. This combination allows the muscles in the back to do their job more easily without the constant tension created by the chest.

Hands-Free device

The Hands-Free Middle Back Strengthener is a device that strengthens the muscles in between the shoulder blades making them able to withstand the forces against them. At the same time, release and stretching techniques are included for the chest to make the transition from abnormal posture to normal posture easier and faster.
